The educational background of our members derives from a broad variety of university educations that are in some ways related to the pharmaceutical area. Among these are Biomedicine, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmacist, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Human Biology, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Molecular Biomedicine, Molecular Biology, Molecular Medicine, Medicine with Specialisation within Industry and Nanobioscience.
Pharmadanmark has about 4,000 members being professionals within the pharmaceutical sciences . They are typically employed within one of these areas:
- Pharmaceutical industry: Sixty percent (research, development, formulation, registration and marketing)
- The public sector: Twenty-two percent (hospitals, the Danish Medicines Agency, and the University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences)
- Private pharmacies: Eighteen percent (pharmaceutical experts)
We also have more than 1,200 student members that study more than 26 different degree courses related to the pharmaceutical sector.
In addition, Pharmadanmark has a further 1,000 passive members including retired members and members who are on leave from their positions.
